Jehan Daniel is one of the exciting prospects who graduated from St. Joseph's College, Colombo 10. Daniel who is a seam-bowling allrounder has been known for his hard-hitting ability. Daniel was a regular member of Sri Lanka U19s and was appointed vice-captain of the Sri Lanka U19 contingent for the 2018 ICC U19 Cricket World Cup. Daniel represented Sri Lanka U19 in 34 youth ODI games and 5 youth test games. Daniel was exceptional for his alma mater and won the precious U19 Division I title, captaining the side in 2018. Daniel became a regular member of Sri Lanka emerging team due to his exceptional performances in the School Cricket arena and made his first-class debut for the star-studded Colts Cricket Club in 2018, following the footsteps of his role model Angelo Mathews. Daniel managed 298 runs in his maiden season while capturing 15 wickets. Daniel has been under the radar of Sri Lanka cricket selectors due to his brilliant skill set and ability to control the game with both bat and ball and was drafted to Colombo Stars in the second season of the Lanka Premier League.
